My name is Evan Lu and I currently reside in Orange County, California. Born with hemoglobin H disease, I often lacked energy and could not play outside a lot as a child. As a result, art became my main pathway to exploring and understanding the world. With this notion, my art initially focused on depicting the various layers of everyday life. This is still prevalent in my current artwork, as I am still trying to broaden and further my knowledge of the world. However, as my interests have been narrowed, my art is now evolving to focus on the relationship between identity and diversity.

As an artist, I am deeply interested in creating art that makes people entertain a different perspective or idea. Through a variety of techniques, mediums, and brush strokes, I hope for viewers to look beyond the surface level of their everyday life.
